B.S., Radio-TV-Film, Texas Christian UniversityNorthup joined the school July 2008, assisting and advising students with Sharon Jones in the Student Records Office. Prior to moving to North Carolina, she lived in Los Angeles for six years, working in television and film production and development. She worked on various productions including, "The X-Files," "Jamie Kennedy Experiment" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm". Northup was also a part of Sony Television's Cable Development Department, where they developed and produced "Huff" and "Rescue Me," among others. In the film world, she assisted prolific film producers, Dean and Richard Zanuck, whose credits include
"Charlie & the Chocolate Factory," "Big Fish" and "Road to Perdition".
